Connections and Configuration Parameters for PLC OMRON
The OMRON SYSMAC LINK NSB interface card provides an interface between the OMRON SYSMAC LINK network and the X-Link. The card occupies one slot in the X-Link and connects to the OMRON SYSMAC LINK network through a coax cable. The card can then monitor and update data on the network, relaying any changes to the X-Link.
Before installing the card, you must set the following hardware parameters:
Node number
The node number X-Link emulates on the OMRON SYSMAC LINK local network. Valid values are between 1 and 62 (in decimal). This value is set with the rotary switches on the Symac Link NSB card. The default value is 1. If this value is greater than the maximum node number specified by the polling node of the SYSMAC LINK local network then the X-Link will not be part of the network.
Memory address
It is set on the DIP switches. The SYSMAC LINK NSB card occupies 32k of the X-Link’s memory at the selected card segment address. The default address is D800 (hex), but can be changed if any conflicts arise. Valid alternatives are: C000 (hex), C800 (hex) and D000 (hex).
Interrupt number
The IRQ number the SYSMAC LINK NSB card uses. The recommended value of 10 may need adjusting if another card uses the same interrupt. Alternative values include any one of 11, 12, 15. Default value is 10. This value is set from the shorting connector on the Symac Link NSB card.
The OMRON NSB X-Link driver has the following parameters:

Network Address

Routing Table
Use the routing table when the X-Link communicates with a node on a remote OMRON network. The table associates each remote network address with a node address situated on the local network that “bridges” to that network. The table is organized as a 2×20 matrix displayed on 6 rows. Rows 1, 3 and 5 identify the remote network addresses and rows 2, 4 and 6 identify the corresponding “bridge” node address to route to the network address situated just above on the same column. For example, the network address specified in the field labeled “1″ corresponds with the “bridge” node address specified in the field labeled with “1b”, “2″ is associated with “2c”, “8″ with “8t” and so on. You can define up to 20 routing paths. Valid values for remote network addresses are between 1 and 127 in decimal. Valid values for “bridge” node addresses are between 1 and 62 in decimal.
