New Underslab, Soffit and Carpark Insulation solutions from Shamrock Insulation

For difficult and potentially expensive overhead insulation jobs, i.e. carpark underslab and soffit, spray applied fibreglass insulation by Shamrock provides the perfect solution!

Spray-on underslab fiberglass comes as a relatively new insulation method from Shamrock Insulation, and is particularly useful when faced with the prospect of insulating difficult configurations and surfaces that soffit and under-slab applications present. In cases where numerous services have been left exposed – such as a carpark – traditional underslab insulation methods generally require much cutting around and fixing to achieve proper coverage. Spray insulation however has the ability to pass over and around any presented obstacle with relative ease.

 It is through this wholesale saving on labour and material wastage that makes spray so attractive, not only as it is more time efficient, but also the follow on cost savings this provides. For carpark underslab and soffit applications, underslab spray insulation will present a considerable saving to regular insulation techniques, every time.

 Thermal Performance – Pound for pound, underslab fibreglass spray insulation by Shamrock has a greater thermal value by far than that of regular batts. This is achieved as the sprayed-on density of spray-applied underslab fibreglass is on average 45kg/m3, as opposed to regular batts which average around 10kg/m3.

Greater density in this case means higher R-Values can be achieved with relatively smaller applications. With underslab spray insulation, Shamrock can deliver an R3.5 on horizontal applications at 125mm in a single application.

 Are you ready for Section J? In Australia from May 1st 2010, Carparks and soffits are now required under section J of the BCA to obtain higher R-values to achieve compliance. This can be achieved easily with a one pass spray-on application.
