JVC theater systems are one of the best in the world. A Japanese company that has been in business since 1927, renowned for introducing Japan’s first television sets and for the VHS recorder.Thus, you are assured of world class products from this electronics company.
As you know, theater systems attempts to faithfully reproduce the same quality of audio and video experience that you get in concert halls and movie houses. There are many options available, but we’ll focus on two or three JVC home theater setups.

The subwoofer is also speaker, and its main job is the production of those deep bass tones and low frequency sounds. You’re probably wondering: why 6 speakers? The number is responsible for the quality of the sound produced, because each serves a dedicated function and what they produce fills the room.

1. Soundbar Home Theater system TH-BS 7

Leveraging its Direct Drive Speaker technology, JVC has built an attractive, compact and slim device that you can that can easily match the slimmest of flat panel HDTVs.The system consists of a very slim Soundbar (1.4 inches),an amplifier/control unit, that is even slimmer than the Soundbar and is easily mountable.
The amplifier effortlessly decodes Dolby Pro Logic 11, DTS and Dolby Digital. It offers three optical digital and one analog inputs.
The TH-BS7 Soundbar has a frequency range of 200 – 20,000 Hz that plummets to just 200 – 10,000 Hz at 360 degrees off-axis. It has 4 JVC Direct Drive speakers – left and right main channels and left and right surround channels – each driven by 20 watts. The two surround channels are powered using JVC’s Front Surround technology to provide surround sound, without the need for rear speakers.
It has a six inch wireless subwoofer that is powered by a 100 watt amplifier. It’s a bit on the high side (it retails for about $600) and produces scintillating surround sound, but, it does not support some USB devices.
2. JVC TH-G31 Home Theater System
This is a bit more affordable, it sells for about $230.You need to buy 6 feet cable (for about $3) with it. The sound it produces is awesome, so, you need to be careful with cranking it up; we don’t want the neighbors complaining! If you’re looking for good value, it’s a very good device.
It offers true surround sound, as it comes with 5 speakers and a sub-woofer. It also offers decoders including DTS digital sound and Dolby Pro Logic 11, one analog audio input and one optical digital input. It offers trilingual display (English, French and Spanish).
When you look at its sound production and the positive reviews it has garnered, the TH-G31 is a budget home theater system that delivers.
