Influence of Moon on the Earth
Moon is the so called satellite of the Earth.Only because of Moon, and its beautiful appearance, that we started exploring space.I don’t need to attract you towards my article because you guys are already attracted towards my Moon 
But Moon is not just a fantastic bubble hanging in the sky, just to be looked at and leave after a fine period of gazing but it has lot more to do with our Earth. Scientists say that a large object may be of the size of Mars, impacted the Earth knocking out a chunk of material that eventually became our Moon.Thus its proved that Moon is a part of the Earth, which got separated from Earth due to some collision.So its quite reasonable that Moon can effect the Earth and its features. Lets move further with this point in mind and know about the Moon’s terrestrial effects.
The obvious effect that comes to our mind is all about the ‘tides‘.i.e, the Moon effects the liquid part of the Earth..Biologists believe that sea creatures might have used tides and tide developed regions as experimental sites for habitability testing.
Moon also effects the solid crust.The Moon’s tidal forcing also produces heating and dissipation of energy. Some of this energy is used up in heating the earth and the remaining in moving the Moon away from the Earth 
………Its also believed that the tidal effect is the reason for the ‘multi-plate tectonics‘ pf Earth.Whereas its not in the case of the other planets where the crust doesn’t move horizontally but acts as a lid hat stops the heat and magma.
If there is sudden missing of Moon, that terribly effects the altitude of the ocean.That in turn, leads to the heavy water redistribution to the polar regions for as of now there is a distortion at the equator region which is elongated axially because of the Moon.
Moon has great influence on Biology of the Earth as there are lots many organisms which live on the shores only depending on the tides.
It is also considered that the Earth’s axial tilt of 23.5 degree is also due to the same collision.Then further its argued that this continuous company of Moon round the Earth stabilized this axial tilt.This constant tilt ensures the temperature difference between poles and equator.This temperature difference in turn led to the occurrence of seasons and climate.Even there is a point saying that the Constant axial tilt of Earth, caused by the Moon when combined with the break up of the Pangean super continent in the late Mesozoic produced a different set of climates when compared to the previous one and thus the end of the dinosaurs and the beginning of the humans started!
People often say that the absence of thicker atmosphere around earth, unlike the one around the other planets like Venus ,etc is due to the presence of Moon. Of course there are no scientific reasons to prove it as of now.
Um….So this way, Moon had affected and has been affecting Earth and its conditions for billions and billions of years.You may feel that I forgot about something, right? But I don’t wanna document this article by adding one more effect ‘moon’s effect on Human’s mentality’ because there are no reasonable reasons to state this and being a physicist, I ll end up this discussion with the enough effects I’ve stated above. We often tend to forget the influence and importance of Moon on Earth as now we are well sophisticated with tube lights and often fluorescent lamps but never ever dare to forget that almost all our history had to depend on the Moon and its phases
